Sometimes it happens. More often than we’d probably like. We make plans… and then something happens or comes up that changes the plotted course. Over here at The 5th Wall we had planned for a summer show, but life had other plans. Some health issues and in addition to some leadership changes led us to the decision that it was not the right time for Midnight Streetlight Smalltown. The script is still ready and waiting to be brought to a new life; but we don’t know the timeline yet.
Of course, we’d rather be doing theatre all day all the time; but sometimes the life of an artist guides elsewhere for a little while. And it’s important to listen to that still small voice telling you the right path to walk (even if it’s very hard to hear!). So The 5th Wall is on a short hiatus while some of these things work themselves out, and while some of our members pursue other creative projects (…like a feature film! I won’t take over this post with info on that right now- however, if you follow me, you’re sure to hear more about it as it develops!).
We won’t be gone for long, I assure you.
And when we’re back, we’ll be BACK. And ready to rumble.
